Zlatibor is a beautiful mountain located in southwest Serbia rising to an altitude between 700 and 1,500 metres above sea level. Zlatibor's reputation as an official destination for both holidays and recuperation has been widely acknowledged since 1893 and today it has become a large tourist destination in its own right encompassing a tourist centre, a climatic health resort and a sanatorium. Tourists can also visit the town of Uzice, open air museum Staro Selo in Sirogojno, or take a journey on  the Sargan 8 train, passing by Emir Kosturica's town Mecavnik.
