Belgrade City Museum

The Museum was founded on October 15th 1903, as the local administration wanted to establish a cultural institution, in order to collect, hold, process and exhibit Serbian cultural and historical heritage as a testimony of its past.
The  Belgrade City Museum has no permanent display, organizing occasional topical exhibitions as a guest in other museums and cultural institutions. Eight regional museums have permanent exhibitions, witnessing of the city history and culture, whether of famous personalities who have lived and worked in it, or events regarding Belgrade.
