Saint Francis Xavier Cultural Route between Orient and Occident

Saint Francis Xavier Cultural Route between Orient and Occident

The way of Xavier is short in time and long in distance, but limitless in hope and the impact it had on the world.
It starts in 1506 from the Castle of Xavier in the foothills of the Leire mountains in Navarre, Spain and ends after short 46 years on the beach of the Chinese island Sacian. The Saint passed away in 1552 and he had already given everything he had to God and humankind. The only thing remaining was his great inspiration to give more. Perhaps it is for this reason that even after death Xavier continued to travel. His undecaying body was taken from Sancian to Malacca, then from Malacca to Goa as he carried on relentlessly with the work of sowing seeds of truth (Diego R.Yuuki S.J, The Way of Xavier).
The body of the saint is still enshrined at Goa.
