The charm of the traditional Slovenian house can be discovered everywhere in the country. In Prekmurje can be seen the traditional wooden house with solid columns. Typical for the region is that the houses are decorated with two colours: blue and dark brown. Prekmurje is also known for its wooden farms, involving a yard, a house, a cattle-shed, drying houses for maze and grain and, of course, a garden.
Small houses are typical of Slovenske Gorice. They are wooden and plastered with clay. The typical dark roof stands out against the whiteness of the walls.
