The Town Hall in Novi Grad is one of the most important and valuable historic buildings in the entire municipality. It was erected in 1892, on the bank of the Una, by the bridge that now constitutes the border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of
Croatia. It was built of cut stone in the neo-Moorish style. In the late 1980s the building was
allocated to the use of the Regional Museum of Bosanski Novi, and was also entered in the
register of cultural monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The building suffered earthquake damage in 1969 and 1982. In the 1980s the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Banja Luka drew up a project to repair the building, but the repairs were not carried out.
